Staying in Salaverry

We had transfers this week! Well,
kind of. Transfers happened this week, but they didn’t affect us at all.
Elder Araujo and I will be staying here in Salaverry. This is going to be
my last ward in the mission. I think it will go well. We’re finding
investigators to teach, we have baptisms planned, and the members are super
nice.

The week went fine. We were pretty busy, but I didn’t write down the things
we did. Sorry! I don’t have pictures, either. But I’m doing well! I’m happy
and healthy! That’s the most important, right?

I don’t have anything else to share, so I’ll finish for now, but I’ll write
again next week!

Have a great week everyone!

The end is near…

My time here in the mission is quickly
coming to a close. But we had a good week, and we’re going to keep working
with the time I have left.

Monday: We visited some families that my companion knows here in Arequipa.
Everyone else in the Zone went to Chivay. My companion has gone a few times
already, and I lived there, so we decided not to go with everyone else.
Sadly, nobody was home at night to visit. We just did some street
contacting.

Tuesday: We had our monthly Zone Conference. We also visited Continue reading

Yellow Fever…

Well as you can guess from the title,
this week was different than normal…

Weekly breakdown.

Monday: I fixed a members computer most of the day. Then we visited a
family in my companion’s old area here in Arequipa. Then we taught a family
of old investigators. They seem interested in the message we share. They
were asking us, “Who’s the prophet?”, “How do you guys know that this is
true?” We were answering their questions and left their house a little
late. But an investigator pulled up in Continue reading

Almost 2 more baptisms

We were supposed to have 2 more
baptisms this week, but they wanted to move it to next week (which is this
week). So hopefully, we’ll have those 2 baptisms on Saturday!

Besides that it’s been a pretty normal week. We’re still looking for new
investigators and contacting lots of people. We found 7 more investigators
this week, which is great! We are going to try to invite these people to be
baptized and join the Church. Hopefully they say yes!

Hope everyone is enjoying life! Sounds like schools out, so have fun
everyone!

Everything is great here in Peru. I’m happy, healthy, and still working
hard!

Talk to you next week!

2 more baptisms on the way

Another great week has gone
by. This week we have 2 baptisms lined up for Saturday! We also have our
Stake Conference this week. It’ll be good to hear from and learn from the
stake leaders here.

This week I saw, once again, that the Lord really does help and guide us as
missionaries, and we often don’t realize it. We went to visit a family that
is going through some hard times right now. Their dad is sick with cancer,
and they’re worrying about him a lot. We decided to pass by and visit them
to Continue reading
