Doing well

Everything is going well here in Chivay.
Even though we’re just 2 Elders now, we’ve been able to visit a lot of
people and get a lot of work done. The asistance wasn’t great
yesterday at Church, but we’re working on that. Little by little the
members will start coming back and bringing their friends, too.

We went on a fishing trip in the morning with some members. We didn’t
catch anything but found a frozen Incan mummy and had fun trying to
fish. Luckily, nobody hooked themselves.

We also went down to Arequipa this week. We had our monthly Zone
Conference. And now that we’re just 2 up here, President wants us to
travel down to Arequipa more often. We’re planning on going every
other week for district meetings. That will also be different.

2 of our investigators are progressing nicely. They’ve decided they
want to be baptized August 25. We also visited one of their parents
this week and started teaching her. It’d be great if her whole family
could be baptized together on the 25. They will be the 3rd and 4th
baptisms of the year here for the branch. We’re excited and hoping
that nothing goes wrong.

This Church is true. And we’re Saints of the Latter-days, not just
Sunday. Be an example at all times, and don’t be afraid to share what
you know and believe! Keep enjoying your summer everyone!
